Civic Hospital

Currently awaiting demolition, Civic Hospital served North Bay for many years.

Old Civic A

It was quite modern when I came to North Bay, but it got old like the rest of us and was replaced last year with a new facility on the edge of town.

Winter Creek

Water is always flowing under the snow.

Winter Creek

This little creek is on North Shore Drive near the Nordic Ski Trails.  It works its way down to Four Mile Bay after it crosses under the road.

Bad Weather

It is said that, “Bad weather makes good photographs.”  I tested this adage the other day when it was snowing and dull.

The processing of the initial image presents some interesting challenges and choices.  Monochrome is also one of the routes that I could have taken.

The objective was to get a feeling of the visually muted nature of the scenes without having the result turn out dull, drab and uninteresting.

You can be the judge, but please be gentle.
