Emerging from Winter

The snow is getting knocked down by the sun and the rock underneath can begin to breathe again.

The Water is Running

It’s just a little bit of melting but this sight strengthens the belief that spring will come when the little rivulets of water cut into the ice and create their own stream beds.

There is HOPE!

March Shadows

In March the sun is getting higher and the shadows of the bare trees become visible on the smooth snow.

It is easy to miss this beauty.

Near our place is a little bush that was planted some years ago.

My Messy Desk

An exercise in HDR photography.

Messy Desk

The objective was an HDR photograph with minimal halos. Not sure I succeeded but I’m pleased with the result.

Five exposures combined using Photomatix and then processed using Lightroom and Photoshop.

There is history behind this Northlander Engine.
