Brick & Stucco

The wall between the last two postings is itself quite interesting.  The image is composed almost entirely of rectangles.  Hardly a curve in sight.

Different processing “tricks” have been used for each of the three shots of the old Belmont Hotel building.  The colour enhancement necessary to give some life to the “out of camera” photos was achieved in three slightly different ways.  It’s fun to experiment.  (Thanks to Silverpixel for an idea that I modified a bit to give the colour enhancement for this image.)

Waterfalls

This little series of waterfalls is on a small creek that flows down the escarpment below the old Monastery in North Bay.  Recent rains have provided just enough water to make a pleasant autumn scene.  The trees have lost most of their leaves and the forest floor is accumulating this year’s protective covering.

Soon the blanket colour will change to white.
