Osprey Landing

The Osprey is a pretty neat bird. Master of his environment.

This landing is controlled and delicate.

A Spring Walk

Laurier Woods is a neat, easily accessible area in our town. Trails wind through maple and birch bush and beside wetland ponds kept full by beaver dams.

Forest Bathing combined with exercise and wildlife observation can be practiced by people of all ages.

A treat for the body and mind.

Recently I ambled along the trails and made photographs of whatever interested me.

These are a few of many that I made.

Westward Ho!

The mouth of the Lavase River at Lake Nipissing.

From this point the Voyageurs of the early Canada fur trade crossed Lake Nipissing and began the trip down the French River to Lake Huron.

The eventual destination was Western Canada where the goods they were carrying were exchanged for furs.
