The highway to our place has been rebuilt this past summer. I have seen this sign many times and the work crews have done a great job of keeping the traffic flowing.
The good news today is that the shoulders of the roadway are being paved. We will be able to ride our bicycles to town safely now. I haven’t ridden this stretch of road for the past many years for this reason. We have been trapped in our little neighbourhood. No more wondering if the noise of the approaching transport overtaking me will be the last thing I hear on this earth.
Ah… Freedom!!!

Lots of people badmouth winter. They miss the mark by a long way. The two worst months of the year in my mind are November and April. We are only a few days from the closest of these bad times and today my world is practicing for the poorest weather of the year to come.
Just a minute now…this is not so bad.
Can’t wait for January!

Halloween is coming in a short time. These tree branches remind me of witches’ nobbly fingers:
Maybe just an overactive imagination.
