Temiscaming Power House

Power for the Town of Temiscaming, QC, was provided by this powerhouse on the banks of the Ottawa River. Water from Gordon Creek was delivered by a large pipe built of wood bound by metal straps. The water’s journey began well above the town, passing through here, spinning the turbines and ending in the Ottawa River.

Blue Rocks Rock

The rocky harbour at Blue Rocks Nova Scotia is unique.

The location is picturesque and downright heart calming.

One feels safe.

Laurier Birches

I’m just discovering Laurier Woods. It is a marvellous place.

Laurier Birches BW

Easily accessible, popular with birders and walkers (alone and with children and/or pets), the opportunity of get out in the bush and experience the joy is one of the neat things about living in North Bay.

Little things like this birch group present themselves around every corner.

A true gem.
