After a “Mother Nature Imposed” slow start this year, the sliding season is going gang busters at Laurentian Ski Hill in North Bay!
Action and enjoyment yesterday on the hill.
Warm, fond Memories being created here!

North Bay is blessed with an alpine ski hill situated inside town. The hill has been operating for over 50 years and has provided recreational opportunities for North Bay people, and at least two World Champions have grown up here and learned their craft.
Today was a busy day at the hill.
People having Great Fun on a gorgeous winter day.

I spent last week at Revelstoke skiing. It is a pretty spectacular hill – most vertical in North America – and steep.
Great view of the Columbia River from the top of the Stoker Chair.
During the week approximately 3 feet of snow fell, making it a great week of powder.

I enjoyed last week at Whistler Mountain in British Columbia skiing on some really great snow.
It was wonderful!

Silver Star has a rule for building decoration based on Victorian times as I understand it. Any building erected must be painted in at least seven colours (different tones count). This creates a most colourful and interesting set of accommodations – single dwellings and hotels are decorated in most interesting ways. Definitely not drab.
Fortunately the rule doesn’t apply to skiing/boarding apparel, although attempts to follow it appear to be made by some.
Interestingly enough, the administration building (background centre left) is brick and somewhat boring.
