Gently falling snow covers everything delicately, softening the outlines of objects on the land.
It is quiet and calm.
In early fall the green of the vegetation gets punctuated by incongruous bits of colour.
This splash is yellow (with a bit of red thrown in).
These leaves changed colour early this fall to very deep dark red, almost purple.
This is just the beginning of the annual colour feast.
But these older Echinacea blooms still look pretty good.
