Portage Park Trout Lake:
Just up the road from the Portage Hotel on Peninsula Road is this large tree which hides on the side of the road most of the time. However, when snow comes it is revealed as the wonderfully shaped living thing that it is.
Its companions attend it all year long as well.

I made this shot last week. This past weekend turned warm and it is raining this morning. The snow is gone.
Now, only this memory exists.

This little series of waterfalls is on a small creek that flows down the escarpment below the old Monastery in North Bay. Recent rains have provided just enough water to make a pleasant autumn scene. The trees have lost most of their leaves and the forest floor is accumulating this year’s protective covering.
Soon the blanket colour will change to white.

I visited Eau Claire Gorge yesterday and paused on the bridge which crosses the Amable du Fond River.
The heron was not disturbed by my presence or by the occasional car crossing.
It was just enjoying the fall colours, I guess.

The natural curves in trees can produce very rhythmic photographs.
Undulations similar to those employed by dancers.
