Sweetman’s Garden has lots of birds to photograph on most days.
This day was unusual as only a solitary grackle was present when I visited.
But the light was so good that it all worked out just fine.

You Are In My Sights
This bird was perched high on the branch very near the nest, calling plaintively over and over.
Hoping that a prospective mate might get curious, I suppose.
