Approach

I can imagine the instructions from the Tower:

“BZZ2158 you may approach Echinacea 3.”

Bee Approach

“Be aware of the Jumbo currently working on the tarmac.”

Annette’s Kitchen

I passed through Field on Saturday afternoon to visit a little craft festival nearby.  The hamlet has seen better times but still hangs on.  One casualty is this restaurant building which I suppose is just waiting for demolition, judging from the missing hydro meter and the decaying foundation.

Annette's Kitchen

Good food and good times happened here but life goes on, leaving warm memories in its wake.

Still, it’s sad when these changes happen.

Cycle of Life, I guess.

Doll House

This little building is made of squared logs and was turned into a child’s playhouse.  It’s stout enough that as the grandkids got older they could spend the night if they chose.

Jack's Doll House

Jack restored it too.

It sits next to Jack’s Barn .

Jack’s Barn

When Jack acquired the property the barn was in pretty rough shape.  The floor was rotten and he had to remove a baler by connecting a chain and carefully hauling it out using a tractor positioned outside the building.  The floor could not take the weight of both tractor and baler.  He rebuilt the barn and it is now a stout and immaculate building ready to stand for another 100 years.  Kit the horse uses the basement living quarters which open onto the field in the background.

Jack's Barn

Jack is skilled in a remarkable spectrum of life tasks.

Backyard Barn

Behind a neat house in Chisolm Township stands this doomed barn.

Barn Chisolm

The damaged roof allows water onto the beams and floors.  Farm friends tell me that is the beginning of the end because of the rot that sets in.
