Little Mack Truck
Yesterday when John, Jerry and I went on a little photo tour of the area John led us to this old truck for our first stop.
This is one of the smaller Mack Trucks that I have seen and indeed it has seen better days.
We were guessing late ’40s, early ’50s for vintage.
Nowadays Mack Trucks are big and shiny and powerful.

Lake Nipissing on a quiet morning at Sunset Point.

Uncertainty
We came across a stationary sea turtle on the edge of the surf.
The waves washed up and back over the animal and it wasn’t moving. An inspection by our guide was indecisive.
Consultation and discussion resulted in more uncertainty.
Finally the turtle made for the water. “Enough of this!”, it seemed to be saying.
“Just tired and resting.”, was the conclusion of the experts.

Frigate Bird
This was my first encounter with a Frigate Bird resting on a branch above the beach.
They soar in the wind when they are not taking time out.

Sheltered
Not far from the location of yesterday’s post is this little valley, sheltered from the wind.
Conditions here are much more hospitable for resting the winter away.
