Intersection

Driving in a snowstorm can identify fools and idiots. Those are people who think it is still summer. Conditions like this require that those people stay home.

Winter Traffic

Here in North Bay, the majority of people have adapted to the reality of winter.

Good thing!

Snowy Day

Gently falling snow covers everything delicately, softening the outlines of objects on the land.

Winter Forest

There was a marvellous snow day yesterday. Snow stayed on everything and there was little wind.

It’s cold and snowing today. I thought that I would post a photo to warm you up.

Lamps?

I was in Meaford the other day and visited a giant “Outlet Store” full of stuff.

I saw these items and was taken by the geometry and light. I don’t know what they are used for but the arrangement was attractive.

Meaford Lamps

I venture that they might hold candles to light the back yard on warm summer nights. There is also an old-time feel about them.

Any ideas?

Snow Surface Clues

In the old West, trackers could tell how long ago, how may riders, whether they were right or left handed and so on.

Snow Surface Mono

Nowadays, it’s snow machine trackers who are making money working from the clues. (But not much!)

January Thaw

Every January after freezing one’s butt off, the weather warms for a day or three and rain comes. Fog arrives with the opportunity for photographs like this.
