Right next to the ocean at Peggy’s Cove there is little hospitable surface for growing much of anything.
The ocean provides what the land can’t.
Delicate and smooth vs rough and hard.
You make do with what you have.
And it works.

Looking inland gives a different feeling.
The term “Moonscape” comes to mind. Except for the vegetation.
There is no fresh water supply on the island. This is a desert.
The wind was blowing on Lake Nipissing yesterday. This old dory has done its time and is safely serving in another capacity.
