I acquired a new lens and have a lot of fun photographing things that fly.
This Spring provided ample opportunity to find subjects.

Great Blue Heron
Great Blue Herons are found on Lake Nosbonsing. They are quite wary and they tend to jump up and fly away when they think you are getting too close. “Too close” is usually about twice as far as you think it should be because you mean them no harm.
But they don’t know that and so they take no chances.
They are elegant and graceful flyers, their large wings making beautiful curves as they move through the air.
