Modern Dancers?
The branches of Sumac bushes remind me of a troup of modern dancers.
Arms upraised, all angles and contortions.
Dressed in blue.
No two identical. Each doing their own different thing but somehow similar to the others.

Bush Walk
Another shot made in the bush near our place.
Bright sun, blue shadows, crisp day.
Spring is due in 18 days. It will be sad to see this disappear.

Winter Bush
The bush near our place is a very pleasant place to be these days.
Quiet, tranquil and cold enough to make one aware.

Snowmobile Trail
This trail leaves the Portage Hotel parking lot and heads north.
The season is somewhat late this year as warm temperatures have delayed the freezing of lakes and swamps. Snow is in the forecast and soon there should be lots of machines moving up the trail.

Moffat’s Path Spring Morning
About a week ago it rained all night and got warm in the morning. Very humid but cold near the ground.
The fog made it interesting.
This was made using three exposures (-1,0,+1) and then combining them using the HDR function in CS5 Photoshop.

Moffat’s Path
There is a path through the bush near my place that I’ve dubbed Moffat’s Path after the owner of the land. It is a neat place to trek with a camera in all seasons of the year.
Autumn has arrived here recently:
Snow is next!
