I pass the end of it each time I want to go to town, and it always looks a little different each time.

Late November morning, crisp, windless.
Sparse snowflakes drift lazily to meet the water.

Lake Nipissing has many moods.
Late in November come days when the wind is calm, the sky is tranquil and the light is wonderful.
This is the “waiting” time of year.

It is situated on a small knoll surrounded by bush. Much like what the first people to move into the area found when they arrived.
