We visited Cranberry Trail in Callander for the first time in a year or so. It is as wonderful now as it was the last time we were there.
What a unique place!
We are lucky to have people who thought ahead and worked to provide the opportunity to experience close-up the wonderful North that we live in.

In spring, water forms puddles. We’ve not seen this very often in the past four months and so it is new and different to those like me with very short memories.

It snowed last night – the type of snow that sticks to every branch and gives the bush a Wonderland look.

Near our place is a path through the forest.
Spending a few minutes in awe of the delicate nature of the bush makes the day worthwhile.

When all of the leaves have left the trees, there are still a few close to the ground on small bushes.
These too will soon give up the ghost.

This little series of waterfalls is on a small creek that flows down the escarpment below the old Monastery in North Bay. Recent rains have provided just enough water to make a pleasant autumn scene. The trees have lost most of their leaves and the forest floor is accumulating this year’s protective covering.
Soon the blanket colour will change to white.
