Everything ages.
But these older Echinacea blooms still look pretty good.
So do many old things.

Just up the road is this small plot that has been looking pretty all summer.
Summer ended today and it still looks pretty good.
The roughness of a Northern Garden is most attractive to me.

One Mile Bay on Trout Lake is near where I live.
Yesterday morning was calm and the mist was rising as I came by.

The North Bay Fire Department was testing its pumper trucks yesterday on Trout Lake.
Nice to have the confidence in your equipment that such a test produces.
I’ll sleep better now.

I can imagine the instructions from the Tower:
“BZZ2158 you may approach Echinacea 3.”
“Be aware of the Jumbo currently working on the tarmac.”

I passed through Field on Saturday afternoon to visit a little craft festival nearby. The hamlet has seen better times but still hangs on. One casualty is this restaurant building which I suppose is just waiting for demolition, judging from the missing hydro meter and the decaying foundation.
Good food and good times happened here but life goes on, leaving warm memories in its wake.
Still, it’s sad when these changes happen.
Cycle of Life, I guess.
