Great Lakes Spring
I visited Wasaga Beach on the south shore of Georgian Bay this past weekend.

Lake Nipissing Summer
Sunset Cove on Lake Nipissing has a very “Northern” character – rock, pine, water.
In Summer it is a bit of paradise.
It’s pretty good in the Winter too.

Summer on the Lavase
The Lavase River flows into Lake Nipissing and was part of the canoe route to Western Canada.
It’s fun to think that for 150 years, Northwest Company Voyageurs on their way West in large canoes, passed this very spot.

Nipissing Afternoon
Early March after some warm weather.
Lake Nipissing is starting to show some wear.
The snow that coated the ice has been knocked down and the shiny spots signaling Spring are appearing.
There is still plenty of ice but six or seven weeks from now there won’t be any.
The ice fishing huts will be disappearing over the next couple of weeks.
Winter fun will end.
