Quiet Creek

My daughter and her family have a lovely “waterfront” property near Rochester, NY.  Last week I spent some time “fishing” for photographs on her waterfront.

Here is the colour version of one “keeper”:

I also got to fooling around with monochrome and made the following two versions:

Toned Version –

Not sure which one I like better.

I think I’m leaning toward the colour version, but…

Autumn is Creeping

King’s Landing

What was called “Government Dock” was rechristened “King’s Landing” a few years ago.  The wharf and rock protect the anchorage from the wind and waves.

Ripples

One Mile Bay on Trout Lake can be very calm some mornings.

The ripples distort the bare branches in a most interesting way.
