Colour

Pride is evident in the care and neatness of these small houses.

Colour expresses the optimism and hope of many whose lives might be considered less than easy.

In my part of the world this spirit is missing in the decoration of houses and other buildings.  Is it possible that as life gets better we lose the need to express our joy?

Folk Art

There is a totally interesting property here in town which, I am sure, is not all that popular with the neighbours.  It is on an arterial street and lots of traffic passes by.

The external decor changes with the seasons and there is ample evidence of “artistic” planning in the presentation.

One wonders if there is a way to move it into the WKP Kennedy Gallery for an exhibition.

More shots on the Folk Art Gallery page.

Last blaze of summer.

Hot!

A friend grows Chili Peppers.

A small piece from any of these will make your tongue come alive!

“Thai Dragon”, “Habanero ‘Kukulkan'”, “Purira”, “Prairie Fire”, “Bulgarian Carrot”, are names that carry just a hint of their potency.

The word for me is “Look.  Don’t eat!”

Colour In My Town

I made a bit of a walk this morning in the downtown area of my town.   There is lots of colour to be seen.

Which is rather nice after the monochrome winter season.
