The apple blossoms have disappeared from the trees now but when they were out there were many opportunities to take a macro lens and go “Blossom Hunting”.
Here is the result of one successful safari.

Apple Blossom Time
In the field beside Hwy 63 are several randomly scattered apple trees. At one time this may have been an orchard.
Last year none bloomed. This year they are blooming again.
Perhaps every second year is the pattern?

Laurier Birches
I’m just discovering Laurier Woods. It is a marvellous place.
Easily accessible, popular with birders and walkers (alone and with children and/or pets), the opportunity of get out in the bush and experience the joy is one of the neat things about living in North Bay.
Little things like this birch group present themselves around every corner.
