Genesee River Gorge

At Letchworth State Park, NY, the Genesee River carves it’s way through the same limestone layers as Niagara Falls, but further east.

Pictured here are the gorge and Middle Falls.

The Upper Falls are in the background just in front of the railway bridge.

Genesee River Tributary

Flowing into the canyon of the Genesee River, this small stream has cut its own little groove.

This little stream is found between the Middle and Upper Falls of the Genesee in Letchworth State Park in New York State.

Kaibuskong Bay

Kaibuskong Bay 2

Lake Nosbonsing ends in Bonfield and flows into the Kaibuskong River to the right.

Some years ago this bay was used to boom white pine logs from Lake Nipissing. The logs were then floated from here to Montreal via the Mattawa and Ottawa rivers.

These days it’s a beautiful place to be.

First Nibble

This Osprey is just digging in. The eyes are quite expressive.

And a bit scary!

Wary Osprey ready to dine.

At the top of a 75 foot dead pine tree with visibility in every direction.

Fresh fish on the menu.
