Finished!
Dave’s Barn has a new entrance and also some much needed repair to the structure.
Dave is proud of his carpentry skills which built the doors and the board covering for the wall.
The timber framing was executed earlier this summer by the talented Dan with concrete work by Marissa.

Brick Wall
Old houses in North Bay were built with red brick.
As time caught up with them, changes were made to accommodate newer lifestyles and other requirements. Some of the original features of the house are still evident in this photograph. The bricked in window and the re-bricked door are two. The external wires for cable TV and telephone, and the modern electrical conduit on the outside of the house all speak to changing lifestyle needs. The external fire escape tells of the change from what was most likely a single family home to a multiple-unit boarding/apartment house.
