Raking the lawn the other day made me notice the only two crocus (crocuses? crocae?) that have survived a planting made some years ago.

Kit has been boarded for the winter at another place and when the snow is gone she’ll be returning.
She will stay in her stable among the trees and live the good life.

Saint Joseph’s Hospital served the City of North Bay for many years. It and Civic Hospital were combined into a new modern facility on the edge of town. Both buildings, now empty, await demolition.
Shortly, the structure will exist only in memories, along with the good work that was done there.

Eventually this train will be displayed in a more accommodating setting, but for now it is mothballed on a siding.
Removal of the graffiti and repainting will no doubt occur.

This is the time of year that seems to pass slowly as the ground thaws and the ice melts. The explosion of life that will happen in a couple of weeks is imminent but for now, waiting is the only thing to do.
