Tom’s Camper

My neighbour is a car guy.  He has this lovingly restored/cared-for VW Camper in impeccable condition.Tom's VW Camper

There was a time when one saw a lot of these on the roads and in campgrounds.  A neat, compact way to travel.

Why do I think “Alice’s Restaurant” when I see it?

Kevin’s Older Sister

Kevin’s sister is named Cashew and she is older and slowing down a bit.

But she is still game for anything going.

Cashew is also of the opinion that red squirrels have no business on the property.  She is very vocal about that, as a matter of fact.

Kevin

My grandson Kevin is visiting during March Break.  He became interested in the red squirrels cleaning up the seed spilled from the bird feeder and in the birds’ activities as well.

The light was particularly nice by the window.

Sensuous

The surface of the snow has a very sensuous appearance.

Sensuous

I love the smooth elegance of the transitions.

Old Soldier

Two Remembrance Day poppies have been placed in the stump of a fallen tree at the corner of West Peninsula and Peninsula Road.  They have been there since November.  I photographed them today and treated the photo in different ways.

The first expresses a soft wistful feeling, the second has a more gritty, rough feel.

I suppose each interpretation is appropriate depending on one’s experience.

The poppies remind me how lucky we are.
