Bush Walk

Another shot made in the bush near our place.

Bright sun, blue shadows, crisp day.

Spring is due in 18 days.  It will be sad to see this disappear.

Summer Memory

Sitting on the bench watching the ripples on the water and listening to the birds.

It’s going to happen again.

One More

Couldn’t resist posting one more sumac shot:

This one I played with the processing a bit.

Maybe it works, maybe it doesn’t.

Winter Colour

Sumac leaves turn the most gorgeous red in the fall.  The seed pods are also a deep red.  It seems that red and sumac go together.

Against a white background, they stand out even better!

Winter Bush

The bush near our place is a very pleasant place to be these days.

Quiet, tranquil and cold enough to make one aware.

I shot an arrow into the air…

It fell to earth…

Where?

I don’t know.

Ice Follies Returns

Ice Follies is back on Lake Nipissing.  Two years ago I wrote THIS .  Smaller this year but enjoyable none-the-less.

I spent an enjoyable time on the ice today making photos of the constructions.

Looks like a building from a distance.

Isn’t.

February Delicate

Around here, February can produce some of the most beautiful scenes of the year.

Like this one:

Delicate is the word for the painting that Mother Nature does.

A small birch grove near our place.

A bit of winter calm before spring arrives.

Door Decoration

Is the bow a bit of gilding the lily?  Time to replace the lightbulb?

The red butt-bucket is a nice touch.
