Recently I had an hour to spend near a marsh on a day that the Brochures always show. Calm, sunny, cloudless sky, wonderful temperature – the kind of day that the brochure assures you is always the case whenever you visit wherever you visit.
In this case the red wing blackbird males were flying and perching, calling in hope, it appeared, of some “afternoon delight”.
