I have no idea who looks after the little garden in the alleyway that passes by Deegan’s Antiques but I’ve named it Deegan’s garden.
The cool wet summer has produced a colourful and rich display.

Sooke, British Columbia is a gorgeous town on the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The harbour is protected by Whiffen Spit, which has been made a municipal park.
A really neat place to walk.

The Johnston Canyon trail follows the creek up to a waterfall. Easy walking and quite busy.

We passed through Banff National Park this summer. Beside the Bow Valley Parkway is mountainside growing back from a prescribed burn in 1993.
Regeneration is a very slow process.
