The building that was the genesis of the “Rusty” Series:
It now sits somewhat forelornly on the side of the Erie Canal. Perhaps demolition is its only future.
Sad to think that at one time it was a major contributor to the life and economy of Pittsford.
As promised , additional fun with a rusty wall on an old building:
There were hundreds more possibilities.
Just colour and pattern and texture.
There are piles of photo possibilities when presented with the weathered exteriors of old buildings.
Use a bit of HDR and this result occurs.

I took a little trip for the past two weeks or so and made a large bunch of photographs. I’ll post some of them here in the coming days.
This one could be anywhere, but it’s near the Erie Canal in Pittsford, NY.
The siding is on a large two storey building that was once used as a factory/warehouse near the Canal. It is empty and derelict these days.
We spent some time in the area with our daughter and our grandkids and enjoyed watching them grow.
