Waiting to Rebuild

It has been eleven months since a devastating fire destroyed Lefebvre’s and Vested Interest.

Renovation

The heavily damaged building awaits the start of the rebuilding operation.

I made posts at the time of the tragedy.  They are HERE  and HERE .

When catastrophe occurs we tend to forget about the effects as time passes.  The building shell serves as a constant reminder.  I hope that positive things can begin to happen soon for those most directly affected.

Oak Street

For many years in North Bay, the term “Oak Street” carried with it the ideas of “run-down” and “seedy”.

Not any more!

Rebuilding the roadway and sidewalks and subsequent refurbishment of the buildings by the owners has seen a rebirth of the area.

Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes.  Oak Street is Back!
