Coba Mayan Ruins

We visited the Mayan ruins at Coba last week.  They are still in the process of being revealed after the jungle overtook them over the last several hundred years.

The structure called La Iglesia:

The centrepiece structure, the pyramid Nohuc Mul:

The structure is the highest in all of the Yucatan and a bit tricky to climb on a hot day as the steps are somewhat irregular and the consequences of missing one could be quite serious.

Sure is flat.

Well worth the visit.
