The concrete structure supported the penstock delivering water to the Kipawa Generating Station in Temiscaming, QC.
The penstock is gone and its route has been used to create a unique park.

Not Quite Spring
The remnants of winter are evident above and below this power dam. This small dam near Powassan has been in place for many years and supplies electricity to the grid.
Every little bit of power helps, I suppose.
