An abandoned sandpit on the escarpment is an interesting place. It is almost desert-like in parts.

Wild roses grow by a neighbour’s driveway.

Wassi Lake is a small body of water to the south of my town.
Surrounded by farms, it was the first lake in the area to report Blue-Green Algae blooms this summer. Quite toxic. No swimming or using the water from the lake.
